Benedict is a legal practitioner with more than 25 years of experience, having practised in corporate boutique law firms as well as the “Big Four” full service law firms in Singapore.
Benedict’s practice focuses on corporate mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance work, including takeovers, privatisation exercises, scheme of arrangement, reverse take-overs, rights issues, convertible notes issue and debt restructuring. In addition, Benedict has experience in medium term notes and banking work and in various aspects of China-related matters and general corporate and commercial matters. Benedict has been named in Chambers Global and Chambers-Asia-Pacific for several years as a recommended corporate lawyer in capital market.
While in private practice, Benedict has also found time to serve as a visiting counsel to GE Medical System South East Asia, an external examiner for NUS Law Faculty, a member of the corporate practice committee of the Law Society of Singapore and a member of the editorial board of CCH for a publication on Chinese law. Benedict is also currently a Teaching Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.
